The past three weeks I have wondered why photograph flowers, why celebrate flowers. So I stopped in the midst of working on other projects, things that would bring immediate money to the family. And I worried that I wasn't doing serious work. But every time I end up looking at the joyful world of flowers. And I want this joy for all the world - Here, Syria, Egypt, Haiti. These flowers are my unexpected joy.
